Ava’sdance experience extends back to age of two, with her mother as her primary performing artist influence. Growing up in an Italian household, Ava was always surrounded by singing and dancing, either she was making up dances for the whole family or creating performance videos with friends. She was dance captain and a featured dancer in the musicals Oliver, Beauty and the Beast, Shrek and The Music Man under direction of Allison Kane. Ava’s artistic journey through dance shifted when she started dancing in Contemporary based companies, Aurora Borealis Dance Company under direction of Katie Pustuzzi, Boston Community Dance Project under direction of Skooj, and Pantos Project under direction of Kat Pantos. During her time within the companies, she had the opportunity to work with professional artists and creatives such as Phillip Chebeeb, Hayden Frederick, Cat Cogliandro, Kate Jabonski and Nan Giordano. Ava was featured in dance concept videos "Through the Eyes of a Child” and “Depth Over distance”, as a company member in Aurora Borealis Dance Company as well as performed as a guest artist at Peridance Center Spring 2018 Showcase in NYC. She was also a part of a short film entitled “Last Prom on Earth” for artist Brendon Gosse.
Upon graduating with her Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Dance Theatre from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Ava has been selected to train professionally with choreographer Erica Klein in her company Klein Collective as an apprentice. She also apart Lume Dance Training IGNITE under Monika Felice Smith and Maryann Chavez. Her drive and determination will help her branch out while continuing to share her artistry and accomplishing her dreams as a professional dancer along the way.
Ava’s movement expresses the emotions, thoughts, and fears that live inside her soul. Her intricate details and passionate energy make her true self come to life. Her individuality, unique and quirky style, and her bone-breaking abilities allow her to create abstract shapes and intriguing movements. Ava loves to go out with friends, travel, write music, and spend quality time with her family when she isn't performing.
